What is counselling?

It’s an opportunity to explore your problems with drinking or drugs, in a confidential and safe place.

You will be offered a session once a week with the same counsellor. Sessions normally last for around 50 minutes.

We offer both short term and long term counselling, up to a maximum of two years. At your first session your counsellor will discuss with you what we can offer you, what support you want, and how you wish to use your sessions.

We also offer a telephone counselling service for individuals who are unable to attend our service as a result of their disability, low level of self-esteme, childcare, work and other commitments.
